Oct 15 Mystery: Who is Edward Teach?

Bill Sydnor will be sailing into your classroom with lots of tales of the sea and his latest book "Mitchell's Magical Day on South Florida's Atlantic Coast."  He will cover everything you ever wanted to know about pirates.

Sept 17 Mystery:  What instrument would the pioneers use to predict the weather?

Bill Sydnor will talk bout the 1926 & 1928 hurricanes that hit south Florida. Students will get an understanding of the hardship that the early pioneers endured and compare the changes that have taken place to improve our safety during the hurricane season.

November 5 Special Kindergarten presentation. Stranahan House is taking the distance learning program to Wilton Manors and Thurgood Marshall Elementary Schools.  Students will see how the children in south Florida lived, how they dressed, what they did for entertainment, and what their chores were in the 1800's.

December 17 Mystery: How many plums were in the plum pudding?

Students will hear about the Victorian traditions for the holidays. They will see and discuss how they compare to the way we celebrate the holidays today and gather clues to solve this weeks mystery.  Winners will receive a free tour and a two for one coupon for their parents to tour the house during the holiday.
